Scallop Adventures Charters LLC is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. We are based on the beautiful west coast of Florida and service the Crystal River and Homosassa area. We pride ourselves on finding the best scalloping and fishing locations. Join Captain Alan and Patty, who have years of experience in the area. They'll make any trip fun for the whole family.

2024 LIMITED SEASON Grouper Fishing Charters
Our season for GAG GROUPER is VERY limited this year. The 2024 season will is only 15 days long, September 1st - September 15th.
THIS SEASON CAN BE CLOSED BY Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council / NOOA - WHEN QUOTA is met resulting in us having to Cancel trips. So book early season to make sure you get your Chance to land these AMAZING FISH .

Scalloping Charters
Crystal River Scalloping
The trip will take you snorkeling in 3-8’ of water. This adventure can be enjoyed by the entire family and it’s a perfect way to spend your weekend or have your vacation highlight. Explore the grass beds off the coast with the equipment your guides will provide.
One of the best things about this trip is that it doesn’t require your previous experience. Everyone in your group can be a first-timer and you’ll still have an amazing and successful day on the water. Your guides will show you everything you need to know about scallop fishing.
The trips are available from July to September, so make sure to book your spot on time.

In-Water Guide for Crystal River Scalloping
If you would like additional help trying to catch your limit, feel free to add an in-water guide who will help teach you how to hunt for scallops and help collect them for your group. The in-water guide will also help parents with young children in the water. The in-water guide will capture underwater photos and videos with OUR camera for no additional charge.

Inshore Fishing Charters
Florida's Nature Coast provides a unique action filled fishing experience.
Inshore shallow water angling targets species such as Trout, Redfish, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, and more. You will be fishing the Crystal River flats in 3 to 15 feet of water as well as Crystal River's Famous Spoil Banks- Barge canal.

Offshore Fishing Charters
Full day trip we target a wide range of species including Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Cobia, Amberjack, Kingfish, Grunts, Hogfish, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, Spade Fish, mackerel, and Sea Bass. All these species are found within 20-50 miles of Crystal River. We allow our customers to keep as many fish as they would like per FWC regulations. All fish are filleted and bagged for the customers for no additional fee. These trips usually begin at 6AM where we head out to the Gulf of Mexico. We return by 4PM.
Our Vessel Holds a Federal Reef and Pelagic Permit allowing us to provide anglers with the ability to harvest multiple species of fish in Federal Waters.

Red Snapper Fishing Charters
One of the most highly sought after fish in the state! Once we get our limit, we move onto whatever deep-water species is in season (grouper, mangrove snapper, amberjack etc.
Our season for RED SNAPPER is very limited. The 2023 Red Snapper season will open June 1st and extend to mid-August.

Policies
Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the booking fee will be required at the time the reservation is made. Cash, credit cards, or checks are acceptable.
Cancellation: Your 50% deposit will be refunded, if notice of cancellation is received 7 days prior to your reservation. If you cancel less than 7 days in advance, you will forfeit your entire payment.
Cancellation Due To Weather: In case of severe weather, the guest and the captain will discuss either rebooking for another day or canceling. In the event the trip is cancelled, all monies paid will be refunded through the same method as payment was
